Rollover on 199 claims life of Selma woman

A single-vehicle rollover accident Jan. 7 on Highway 199 near milepost 10 (between Wonder and Wilderville), took the life of an Illinois Valley woman, Teddie Diane Tibbets, 47, of Selma.

According to Oregon State Police, Tibbets was a passenger in a Toyota Tundra driven by Marisha Lynn Trainor, 52, of Eugene. The driver allegedly swerved to avoid a deer in the road, and lost control of the truck, which rolled multiple times before coming to a stop upside-down.

The driver suffered minor injuries and an investigation is underway.
