(Editor’s note: Factual information for ‘Tales’ is provided by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.)

Sept. 7
*Daniel Miranda-Reyes was looking for his vehicle. It was towed for unknown reasons.
*Ronda Burnett allegedly had a few drinks and smacked her mother a time or two. Mother declined medical attention but Ronda was given a room at the JoCo Jail. She also was charged with assault four.
*According the call log, Bart Batesel likes them young. Batesel had a warrant for his arrest for being an alleged pervert. The creep was wanted for digital penetration of a child under 10, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 and lewd act with a child.
*Gary Pruden didn’t have a drivers license and was cited for 85 in a 45. His passenger had to drive the vehicle home.
*Raelene Mcky was driving while suspended.
*Taylon McKellar was cited for speeding, 60 in a 45.
*Brad Lee Witherell had a problem finding a place to park his trailer. This tale had people arguing and gun shots. The opera ended with Witherell being charged with a fail to appear for meth and a criminal trespass charge.

Sept. 8

*A Cali driver was cited for 76 in a 55.
*Lots of unknown drivers this week. The latest was cited for 60 in a 35.
*The call started with an agitated man who had been drinking and was off his meds. His girlfriend was trapped in a trailer on the property and he wouldn’t let her leave. It’s alleged that the baseball bat and Buck knife carrying trouble maker, was playing loud music. Seems he had an issue with a white dog. It ended with Seth Whyte being charged with kidnapping one and two. Resisting arrest, aggravated harassment, menacing, another menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and criminal mischief three. The deputy had to stop en route the jail to put a spit hood on Whyte. Additionally, he may have broken off a handle inside the vehicle and smuggled it into the jail.
*Nathaniel Thatcher went to jail for violating a restraining order. He was warned for going into “myspace.”
*Spraying insecticides and cayenne pepper on fence line and injuring pets caused a dust up. The warring neighbors had a court appearance and that made, “them angrier” (the sprayer?). The caller was worried about retaliation.
*According to the report, Jane Critchfield was an “extremely emotionally disturbed person” the night at the JoCo Jail. Critchfield was charged with menacing and unlawful use of a weapon. Apparently Critchfield was running around waving a knife after a disagreement about electricity. To say the situation was electrifying would be a little cliché.

*After a father brought his son home from Corvallis to sober up, things didn’t go well. The father didn’t know if he currently on drugs nor have a weapon. The son, Joshua Wilson, had a number of warrants one from Jackson for fail to appear for charges of theft, burglary and criminal mischief. Grants Pass PD also wanted him for failing to appear for trespassing and resisting arrest. As that was not enough, Wilson also had another warrant from GPPD, failing to appear for resisting arrest and possession of meth. To add to his troubles, Wilson was charged for My money is on a future fail to appear charge for this one too.

Sept. 9
*Sean Gunn was charged and booked into the JoCo Jail for criminal trespass.
*Shawn Solosale was charged with criminal trespass. Ms. Solosale also was wanted for a fail to appear warrant by GPPD for the same charge.
*A human was warned for failure to signal and cited for operator’s license.
*A young man hit a tree. He was cited for failing to have ignition interlock device, daddy came to get him.
*They, whoever that is, were cited for doing 68 in a 45.

Sept. 10
*Cory King was not happy with his parents. King threatened to kill his father, then put daddy in a choke hold. As if that wasn’t enough to make his parents understand how unhappy he was, King held a weigh bar to his mother. It didn’t say where he held the weight bar but I assume he wasn’t teaching her to bench press. King was arrested and taken to JoCo Jail for two charges of unlawful use of a weapon, two charges of menacing and one charge of strangulation.
*What would this week’s blotter be without a dog situation. Ben’s girlfriend, Juliette L Hedgecock, became frustrated and demanded that both parties be held to the same standard after being cited for her 14-year -old shih tzu not having a license and no rabies shot. Now, you might be asking who is Ben? Well, Ben is actually Benjamin T Gallegos. Ben was cited with K9 as a public nuisance and potentially dangerous as his Spirit had quite a bit of spirit. Ben also was cited with eight counts of unlicensed dog.

More to come next week, same time, same page, same nonsense.
