Tales from the Rural Patrol

(Editor’s note: Factual information for ‘Tales’ is provided by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.)

July 17
*The driver of an F250 pickup rear-ended a rental car, which rear-ended a tow-truck, and resulted in minor injuries on Pleasant Valley Road. Solomon J. Pacheco, 37, admitted he wasn’t paying attention and didn’t notice he was stopped in a construction zone. Pacheco was arrested on DUII and reckless driving charges.
*Anthony Hindle, 38, was taken into custody on an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for parole violation on a kidnapping charge. Hindle was denied bail when detained at the house on Pooh Lane. Oh, bother!

July 18
*A report of a child and an adult being bitten by a loose dog proved to be false in the 800 block of NW 6th Street. Mikayla Ball, 25, said she was sleeping when the supposed incident happened, but the complainant and the child were unharmed. The reporting person, (Ball’s ex-boyfriend) refused to identify himself, and was being hostile to law enforcement. Ball claimed that her current boyfriend hit her, but there were no witnesses and no marks or bruises on either party. It’s unclear what any of that has to do with anything, but the residents of the park were “continuing to yell, not happy, or getting along.” Ball was given a citation for a potentially dangerous K9 and licensing issues. Call Jerry Springer, ASAP!

July 19
*Kylia Cooper, 33, and Jerry Teixiera, 45, both had to be restrained in wraps and hobbled after a squabble turned bad in the 200 block of Schumacher Street. Cooper was arrested for disorderly conduct, attempted assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest. Teixiera was arrested for violating parole/criminal mischief. Bring out the popcorn, this just keeps getting better.

July 20
*At the Josephine County Jail, Aliczander Mika McClymonds, 34, was taken into custody on a warrant for PCS/fentanyl.

July 21
*A van that was converted into a convertible didn’t seem out of place at all, but was pulled over anyway at Brookside Blvd. and Flaming Road. It seems like it should have been more exciting, but Troy Kidwell, 44, was cited for DWS.

July 22
*A couple that decided to drive their car down the railroad tracks inevitably got stuck and caused damage to the vehicle and the tracks at Front St. and Tavis Drive. While railroad officials declined to press charges, both subjects were trespassed from any railroad facility in Josephine County. No trains for you, one year!

July 23
*Danile Lacombe, 27, was trespassed from the Board Shanty fire site and arrested on a parole violation. Your guess is as good as mine as to what happened.
*Two Curry County warrants were out on David Wayne Lassle, 59, and he was arrested for a parole violation for theft, and another for trespassing when he was located at Redwood Hwy. and Pinewood Way.
*FOUR Medford Police Department warrants were bestowed upon Marcus Underwood, 41, for parole violations for kidnapping, PCS/meth, PCS, and identity theft in the 3200 block of Pearce Park Road.
*AT 200 Caves Ave., Jack Lee Duke, 49, was taken in on a Coos Bay PD warrant for PV/PCS/meth.
*A woman was reported to be in someone’s garage in the 200 block of Nolan Road. Meghan Gomez, 34, told the property owner that she “has matches and gas cans in the garage”. Gomez was tossed into the JoCo clink after a search of her backpack uncovered meth, a meth pipe, and several stolen items. She was charged with burglary, theft, and PCS/meth.
July 24
*A caller from the 3000 block of Deer Creek Rd. said that a man she has a restraining order against keeps calling, texting, and e-mailing her claiming to be someone else, but she knew it was him. Sean Silva, 48, wasn’t very good at disguising himself when he made statements like, “Sean is going to kill himself, and it’s your fault for not talking to him”, “Did you enjoy the fireworks last night?”, (pertaining to the gunshots he had fired outside of her home) “Next time I won’t be shooting at an embankment, I’ll be shooting at your house, and won’t miss”, and the most loving of all threats, “If I catch you, I will gut you and kill you!” Don’t worry, ladies, he’s taken. Silva was arrested on a restraining order violation.
