June 21
*Melanie Presley, 49, was ticketed for speeding at Monument Dr. and Leaning Pine Lane. Perhaps she can clear up some of the Elvis sightings for us.
*At Williams Hwy. and Aggregate Ave., William Torgerson, 60, was warned for FTOTCD (failure to obey a traffic control device) and cited for DWS.
June 22
*A two-for-one traffic stop was conducted somewhere in Josephine County, and Patrick Wilson, 17, and Bryce Ivan Sargenti, 19, were both ticketed for speeding.
*Kristopher Kautz, 21, was also cited for speeding.
*Another lead-footed driver, Alexis Alvarez, 43, was given a speeding citation in the 5400 block of Rockydale Road.
*A caller from the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. told police that a female broke into their trailer and was doing drugs. Sarah Jaentsch, 34, was arrested for PCS/meth.
*At Redwood Hwy. and Pugetville Rd., Adan Arreda Gomez, 39, was cited for speeding with no driver’s license.
*An unreadable plate led to a traffic stop and a brief tense moment when the driver reached for a machete, but it turned out he was just pushing it out of the way. Danny Winn, 59, was cited for speeding and no operator’s license, and his vehicle was towed.
*Christopher Slover, 43, was arrested at Granite Hill Rd. and Grouse Creek Rd. on a GPPD warrant for FTA on charges of delivering meth, felon in possession of a weapon, (a chainsaw) and providing false information to police. He was a little late for the Friday the 13th reenactment party.
June 23
*Desiray Tolson, 36, took out several mail boxes with her car in the 5100 block of Azalea Drive. She was arrested for DUII, reckless driving, and criminal mischief. Her heavily damaged vehicle was towed.
*William Bruhnsen Studzinski, 29, was hanging out the Ray’s Market in Selma all night and decided to start multiple fires, throw trash everywhere, and just for fun, scatter grocery carts all over the place. He was arrested for criminal trespass, reckless burning, criminal mischief, and interfering with a police officer. Bruh!
*An intoxicated shirtless man with an open bottle of alcohol refused to leave a property. The caller said he was the manager and the man was trespassed from an impressive six different properties. Nicholas Knowles, 45, was arrested for criminal trespass. Six properties!
June 24
*After an animal complaint in the 100 block of E. O’Brien St., the dog owner wanted to tell his side of the story to deputies. He claimed that his neighbors are drug addicts and that one of them overdosed last week. He was walking his big dog Marmaduke when one of the female neighbors was coming up from the river with her little dog and started freaking out when she saw them. She then dropped a syringe and was frantically trying to pick it up when Marmaduke picked her dog up in his mouth, but did not shake or hurt it. He said none of this would have happened if she wasn’t acting crazy. Mark Patterson, 59, was advised that if Marmaduke was licensed by July 15, the ticket would be redacted.
*A man with a black eye was known for walking to the Grange on Thompson Creek Rd. to give his female “friend” time to calm down, but this time he met an officer there. Jenny Rose, 40, was arrested on charges of menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, assault/domestic violence.
*At W. Jones Creek Rd. and Mina Ln., Nathan Davidson, 40, was charged with a DUII and was taken to the sobering center, and his German Shepard was taken to the shelter after acting aggressive.
June 25
*Michael Phillips, 54, was arrested in the 200 block of Caves Hwy. on felony warrant charges for parole violation, eluding, and a traffic offense.
*An unfortunate situation in the 2400 block of Hamilton Ln. involving DHS was reported. A juvenile female had been staying at a friend’s house after claiming that her mother had been sexually abusing her. When her mom pulled up to the residence, the child was screaming that the mother wasn’t supposed to be there, DHS said the kid was staying where she needed to be, and that she would pull a knife on her mom if she tried to take her. The reporting caller said that the woman is trespassed from the property, and that they were going to “kick her ass.” DHS responded to deputies that the sexual abuse allegations were unfounded, and they should send the child home. The officer reminded them that he could not force her to go with her mother. The young girl refused to go with her mother and stated that she would rather go to Juvenile Hall. She was transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.
*A citation was given to a dog owner in the 2900 block of Louis Lane after their dog lunged at neighborhood children, and it wasn’t the first time.
*A woman in the 100 block of Jeffery Ct. decided to surrender one of her dogs after being advised of the two-dog maximum in the city limits because one of the other dogs was pregnant and she wanted at least one more litter. The animal shelter staff remembers when she adopted the dog back in September. Hopefully, some kind soul will adopt the poor pooch and keep it for good. Spay and neuter your pets!
*A driver who was flagged as “prone to exaggeration” was pulled over at E. Hanby Ln. and Caves Hwy. after an officer noticed that the license plate did not match the vehicle description or VIN number. The unnamed driver was cited for DWS and the plates were seized. I told you a million times not to exaggerate!
June 26
*A male driver was understandably “not happy” after being t-boned at Azalea Dr. and Elk Creek Road. A sixteen-year-old driver was charged with criminal mischief.
*An officer pulled over a reported stolen vehicle at W. Jones Creek Rd. and Foothill Boulevard. Brian W. Domin, 37, claimed that the owner gave him permission to use the vehicle until the following week. Upon further questioning, he admitted that the owner of the car told him if he didn’t return it, he would report it as stolen. Domin was arrested for unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and for previous JoCo Sherrif’s Office warrants for FTA on assault charges.
*Floyd Argus Greenlee, 37, was arrested at Shop Smart in Cave Junction for disorderly conduct, trespassing, and a restraining order violation.
*The Oregon State Parole Board arrested Scott Wayne Chitwood, 55, at Placer Rd. and Sunny Valley Loop for a parole violation on robbery charges. I was taught at a young age not to steal, or the Chitwood hit the fan.
*Ryan Ray Rhodes, 42, really regretted rotten past choices when he was detained on a felony warrant for FTA on identity theft and forgery charges in the 500 block of NW 6th Street.
*At the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy., Floyd Eldred was cited for no operator’s license and warned for no insurance and improper display.
A concerned neighbor contacted authorities after hearing a man who lived with his 90-year-old grandmother scream, “You should be f**ing lucky I just pushed you down!” The neighbor said that Ronald Flansburg, 53, is constantly yelling at his grandma, and he was promptly arrested for harassment in the 600 block of Woodlawn Circle. Sounds like a real winner.
*An un-plated blue moped was pulled over at N. Old Stage Rd. and Fir Drive. Justin Eidem, 46, was cited for DWS, and warned for no insurance or registration.
*Letitia McQueary was cited for DWS, and her vehicle was towed in the 100 block of Avenue De Teresa.
June 27
*Jeremy Huff was pulled over in the 6700 block of Monument Dr. on his motorcycle and became hostile with officers. He was cited for DWS and his bike was towed.
*Another sad case involving children led to a kid calling 911 stating that he hit his head and just wanted to sleep in the 3000 block of Elk Lane. Officers determined that his injuries were possibly caused by an assault. Brandon Holbroon Danyluck, 32, was arrested on assault charges, and DHS was notified.
*In the 200 block of NE Beacon Dr., a juvenile was found ducking in and out of bushes and then tried to run away from police. He was arrested on a parole violation for burglary, and now has additional charges of escape.
