Prophecy Reveals The Bible Is True

One of the most fascinating prophecies of the Bible, that confirms its reliability, is found in the book of Daniel, chapter two. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream one night that he sensed was very important but he couldn’t remember the details.
Anxious to know the dream, he consulted his resident psychics. But he explained that he didn’t remember the dream and he wished that they would reveal it and also explain it.
The men objected: “There is not a man on earth who can do what the king asks!” Nebuchadnezzar didn’t like their reply and ordered all the wise men to be executed, reasoning that if they were in touch with the gods, as they claimed to be, they could find the answers.
The young prophet Daniel heard about the king’s decree and immediately prayed God to reveal the dream to him.
Soon God answered.
When he was ushered into the king’s throne room, he respectfully informed the monarch that he had the information he wanted and he was quick to give credit to God alone for this special revelation.
“Before you, stood a large statue,” said Daniel. “The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay.”
The meaning? The head of gold represented Babylon, Daniel explained. The silver chest pointed forward to another kingdom that would succeed Babylon. The bronze belly and thigh would be the next world power. Later, the strongest of all would reign, an iron kingdom.
History has confirmed this ancient prophecy. After Babylon, Medo-Persia took over. Then Greece. Finally, Rome.
The image’s feet were a mixture of iron and clay, two elements that don’t bond. This was fulfilled when Rome fell and Europe divided into many, often conflicting, nations. A reality, even now.
