April 4
*Three adults (technically) were sent to the sobering center in Grants Pass after providing false information to police during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Scott Drive. Daisy R. Judd, 18, told a deputy that her name was “Danica Riley”, while her buddy, Keaton Dean, also 18 years old, told the same officer that his name was “Burt Train.” As convincing as those fake action movie names may have seen at the time, they didn’t work. John McCulla, 19, “Danica” and “Burt” were all cited on charges of being minors in possession and providing false information to a police officer. Come on, John. You need a cool nickname, too!
*Tyler Ireland, 40, was cited for driving while suspended on Rogue River Highway. According to reports, there was a police chase that had just happened, but Ireland denied knowing anything about it.
April 5
*Despite multiple warnings, Joshua Scott, 45, was cited for driving while suspended and uninsured at S. Redwood Hwy. and Caves Highway.
*An illegal U-turn in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. cost Reinaldo Palacios, 30, a DWS citation.
*Dixie Rhodes, 42, was arrested at New Hope Rd. and Fish Hatchery Rd. for theft by deception for over $10,000 and possession of a forged instrument. A Kentucky Police Dept. felony warrant led police all the way down that Dixie Road to find the thief.
*A caller stated that she had a valid restraining order against her ex-husband Curtis Stone, 57, but he keeps harassing her by telephone. Though they live in the same trailer park, upon being arrested, Stone ominously said, “I’ll be back!”
*Robert “Bobby” Blase, 41, was arrested for trespassing in the 100 block of N. Redwood Highway.
*Richard Turpin, 36, was ticketed for speeding on the Grants Pass Parkway near NE Beacon Drive.
April 6
*Magically, nothing happened today.
April 7
*A vehicle with several priors was spotted by an officer at Redwood Hwy. and Elliot Creek and the driver was pulled over and cited for speeding.
*A driver pulled into the 76 Station at S. Redwood Hwy. and E. Watkins after seeing those red and blue flashing lights. The deputy warned him for operating an unsafe vehicle/lighting violation and not having registration or insurance. The driver stated that he just bought the car, but was still warned that it could be towed if he continued to drive it.
*Somewhere in the mountains a male called 911 multiple times. When police arrived, the juvenile was warned for improper use of an emergency communication system. His mom was going to pick him up.
*Joshua M. Delkittie was served a warrant at a camp in the 400 block of S. Redwood Highway. All occupants of the camp were trespassed from the old Junction Inn property, but Delkittie went to jail for possession of meth and fentanyl. Bad kitties get thrown in the pound.
*A suspicious van was reported in the 700 block of E. Jones Creek Rd. after someone noticed it parked for a few days near a neighbor’s house. When they left, they were pulled over, and the driver claimed she was waiting on a friend and didn’t realize she was on private property.
*In the 100 block of Homewood Rd. “Earl” stated that his three dogs got out and got into a fight with a neighbor’s pet. Earl said he was going to talk with the owners and pay any vet bills if needed.
*James Black, 70, was arrested in the 400 block of Walker Rd. after someone saw him on their security cameras in their backyard. To get into the backyard, Black would have had to get through a locked gate or climb a fence. Black stated that he needed to get to town to get his wife’s seizure medication to her. A deputy called his wife at work who stated that she did not need any medication or assistance. Fourteen seconds after leaving, the officer saw Black crossing through yet another property. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassed from multiple properties on Nursery Ln, Walker Rd. and Macknew Lane.
*A driver was cited for failure to yield while entering the GP Parkway at NE F Street.
April 8
*A dog owner in the 1400 block of Brookside Blvd. was angry after their dog ran off and caused trouble. They said it was someone else’s fault that the dog got out and will be filing a police report regarding criminal mischief. Take a bite out of crime!
*Harold Harrold, 88, was arrested on assault IV/ domestic violence after he struck a person in the head at least 7 times with a closed fist. Harrold seemed unsteady on his feet and disoriented. The victim refused an ambulance, though they said their pain level was a 7 out of 10. Not a funny story at all, but I can’t ignore that name. Harold Harrold? Really?
*In the 1200 block of Isham St. someone’s 5 dogs went on a rampage and one bit someone. The dog owner was admonished because of the number of dogs they had, and had been warned about them over a year ago. Deputies advised the K9 owner of the bite quarantine and said they could take the dog to the shelter if they surrendered it to them, but the owners stated that they would try to find a place to rehome the mouthy pooch.
April 9
*Brycen Rivett, 18, was clocked going 65 in a 30-mph zone in the 300 block of Galice Road.
*David O’Roarke, 66, was waiting at the sheriff’s office to turn himself in to serve time stemming from a Curry County warrant for fta for driving while suspended.
April 10
*A man was asked to leave a property in the 200 block of W. River St., but wouldn’t. The caller stated that s punched him in the face after he tried to attack her husband. Apparently, David Alexander, 65, fell onto someone’s fence and broke it after multiple attempts to enter the property. Alexander was found lying in the road when the cops showed up, then tried to kick the deputies. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and attempting to assault a peace officer.
*There was a two-vehicle crash in the 6100 block of Cloverlawn Dr. where both parties claimed the other driver swerved into their lane. The road was blocked for a while deputies determined that the driver of a Toyota 4 Runner sideswiped the other vehicle. Nobody was injured and both parties were able to drive home.
*At Ringuette St. and River Heights Way Breanna Nichole Rae Owens Smith, 24, was ticketed for driving while suspended and warned for carrying no insurance/registration while towing a vehicle. She, however, did not get her car towed, and stated that she had just paid to get her license reinstated.
