March 30
*A caller from the 500 block of Squaw Mountain Rd. told a dispatcher that her neighbor Jose broke a door down to enter her home, and was threatening to kill her and her husband. Jose changed his tune when both victims pulled guns on the intruder, causing him to flee. The 911 dispatcher could hear two males arguing in the background when the caller started ranting about how Jose should have been arrested before and that he is trespassed. Before hanging up on emergency services, she added that they wanted Jose’s dog put down. When police arrived, one person was detained.
March 31
*An arrest pertaining to one’s mental health was made in the 3400 block of Campus Way.
*Bryan Pena, 31, was arrested at gunpoint on Pinewood Way after stealing his mother’s car. His mother said the two brothers were arguing when Pena took off in the vehicle without her. She declined to press charges for the theft of the only car between the three of them, but Brian was arrested on a Jackson County warrant for failing to appear on charges of unlawful possession of meth and providing false information to a police officer.
*Lady and Pupperdoodle caused some trouble in the 1300 block of SE Vista Rd. leading to their human getting a citation for K9 licensing issues.
*A homeowner in the 700 block of King Mountain Rd. wanted their adopted son trespassed from the property after he took a vehicle without asking. Douglas Cleveland, 60, was never allowed to drive, according to his adoptive parent, but the family has “issues.” The 60-year-old orphan was arrested for unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
*A complicated story led to the arrest of Jared Gunn, 36, in the 500 block of Warner Road. Apparently, and criminal mistreatment. Apparently, Gunn and his father were involved in some suspicious behavior while caregiving. Both parties were suspected of controlling the victim’s medication, causing discomfort to the patient.
*Sean O’Keefe, 66, was arrested on warrants pertaining to three previous DUII charges and possession of meth near the 500 block of NW 6th Street.
*A case of mistaken dog identity resulted in a citation being issued to someone for something in the 1000 block of SE Clarey Road. It really makes you paws and wonder what happened.
*David Rich, 43, was arrested for breaking the rules of a restraining order, menacing, and unlawful use of a weapon. In the 12000 block of Redwood Highway. A big Pitt-bull named Hercules was also detained and taken to the animal shelter. Charges against Hercules were unclear.
April 1
*In the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. a driver was cited for driving while suspended and warned for not carrying insurance or registration.
April 2
*A driver in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. was ticketed for having no license plates or registration, and warned for being uninsured.
April 3
*At an off ramp of I-5 Tyler Bryant, 34, was issued a citation for dws and warned for speeding.
*A person named Tucker was seen rolling through a stop sign and got pulled over at Warren Rd. Hogue Drive. He claimed he was in a hurry to get medication to his friend for their dog, but said he didn’t know why they couldn’t get their own. Sure, Tucker, blame it on the dog.
*Carly B. Jensen, 31, was arrested after being stopped near Grocery Outlet Bargain Market when officers found a glass pipe and methamphetamine which she admitted to smoking earlier that day. Jensen was also charged on a previous burglary warrant. The deals are great inside the market, but not so much in the parking lot.
