A group of eager volunteers learned about using native hardwood cuttings in disturbed areas next to area streams to help speed up nature’s healing process Saturday, March 1 out at Page Creek from I.V. Watershed Council director and naturalist Janice Denney. The Council is co-sponsoring several events locally this month to engage with the community to raise awareness of the importance of tree planting in disturbed areas like fire scars.
