Bee Robinson celebrated her 102nd Birthday Jan. 1

Bee Robinson, born as a New Year’s baby in 1923 in Sterling, Illinois, celebrated her 102nd birthday this year with a joyful party at Elmer’s Restaurant in Grants Pass, surrounded by her close family and friends. She was the middle child of 13 siblings, with two stepsisters and one stepbrother. Bee still has two living brothers and many nieces and nephews. Bee was happily married to Les Robinson for 56 years. She is preceded in death by her late husband Les, their daughter Becky Robinson and their son Jerry Robinson.
At the celebration, Bee’s son Larry, great granddaughter China and their family were present, as well as her daughter Kitty, who came with her three daughters and one great-granddaughter. Bee’s great-granddaughter is a student at West Point, a proud achievement for the family. Unfortunately, her other great-grandchildren were unable to be present. Despite the years, Bee continues to live in her own home and remains independent.
Bee has had a rich history of community involvement, particularly in the church in Cave Junction, where she was very active. Quilting was another passion of hers, and she still enjoys reading frequently. A devout Christian, Bee prays often for her family and the well-being of the country. Her faith, love for her family -and devotion to her community remain a central part of her life.
