Public Notice and Notice of Public Hearing

The City of Cave Junction is completing a project funded with Community Development Block Grant funds from the Oregon Business Development Department. The location of the project is the Illinois Valley Branch Library on 209 West Palmer in Cave Junction. The renovation added a dedicated meeting space, provided enhanced technology including public computers and broadband Internet, and made other improvements for the 65-year-old library which previously had not been updated since the 1970s. It is estimated that the project has benefited at least 1,995 (Cave Junction population) and 11,000 (population of the greater Illinois Valley) persons, of whom 63.57 percent are low or moderate income.
A public hearing will be held by the Cave Junction City Council at 7 pm on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Cave Junction City Hall at 222 Lister Street in Cave Junction. The meeting will also be available online via the Zoom platform, meeting ID 846 9968 6807, passcode 361589.
The purpose of the hearing is for the Cave Junction City Council to obtain citizens’ views about the results of Illinois Valley Library Renovation project and to take comments about the local government’s performance on this project. Written comments are also welcome and must be received by 4 pm on Friday, December 13, 2024. They can be mailed or dropped in the drop box at Cave Junction City Hall, 222 Lister Street, Cave Junction, 97523. Both oral and written comments will be reviewed by the Cave Junction City Council.
The location of the public hearing is accessible to the disabled. Please contact the City Recorder at 541-592-4529 know if you need any special accommodations to attend or participate in the hearing.

On 05/05/21; 06/15/21; 06/17/21; 12/22/22 the above-described property was seized by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. The property is subject to forfeiture under ORS 131.550-131.600 as proceeds and/or instrumentalities used in the following prohibited conduct, and/or the solicitation, attempt or conspiracy to commit the following prohibited conduct: possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and/or manufacture of a controlled substance. Forfeiture means that the property will be deprived of that interest without compensation because of the use or acquisition of the property in or through prohibited conduct as defined in ORS 131.550-131.600.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET

A proposed supplemental budget for Three Rivers School District, Josephine County, State of Oregon, for fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, will be considered by the Three Rivers School District Board during the monthly board meeting on the 20th day of November, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. (ORS 294.473, renumbered from 294.480). The meeting will take place at 8550 New Hope Road, Grants Pass, Oregon 97527. The Kerby Water District (KWD) will hold its monthly board meeting on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Kerby Belt Building, 24353 Redwood Hwy. The meeting will include but not be limited to monthly business and financial reports. This is a public meeting and both the public and district members are encouraged to attend. THREE RIVERS SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET COMMITTEE CITIZEN MEMBER NEEDED

The Three Rivers School District Board of Directors is looking for one volunteer to fill a
position on the Budget Committee. This position is for Zones I, effective through June
30, 2025.
The Board will be accepting applications for appointment to fill the expired vacancy. All
applications must be submitted to the District Office no later than January 3, 2025.
Applicants must be registered voters and reside within the Three Rivers School District.
