Sept.26
*Thomas McCluskey, 42, was taken into custody for a parole violation on Gunnel Road.
*At Saratoga Way and Brett Way, Jesse Bryman, 58, was detained on a previous charge.
*A scary situation occurred in the 2000 block of Riverbanks Rd., leading a woman to call it in. A man had kicked in her bathroom door, but she was able to block the door partially with a stool. When she called authorities, the intoxicated man could be heard yelling in the background that he would “make a play against the cops.” When deputies arrived, they forced a door open and a struggle ensued with the aggressor. The woman was advised to stay barricaded in the bathroom until he was detained. Jacob Teller, 36, was charged with domestic violence, menacing and interfering with the police.
Sept. 27
*Warned for failure to yield the right of way, Joshua Lininger, 47, was also cited in lieu of arrest for failure to appear on a chain of custody charge at Merlin Road and Merlin Landfill Road.
*Nicholas Knowles, 44, was arrested in the 1900 block of NE F St. on multiple outstanding warrants for failure to appear on charges of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and trespassing.
*In the 400 block of Brett Way, a man who had just been released from jail immediately violated a restraining order by showing up at his son’s house yelling that he just wanted his clothing. Jesse Breymann, 58, was arrested for violating a restraining order,
*A follow-up visit for a biting dog was made, and the owner, who was unaware that “Honey” had bitten someone, was given the proper paperwork for a bite quarantine. Put that on your “Honey don’t” list.
*A highly emotional man called to complain that someone came at him with a metal rod. He was difficult to understand, not answering questions, and made different statements about his dog and another man. He then called back, informing law enforcement that he wanted to “let us know a few more things.” Six minutes later, Jason Bergstad, 50, was taken into custody in the 500 block of Cave Highway. A deputy had pull over on Hayes Hill because Bergstad complained about the handcuffs hurting. Parties involved said Bergstad was wielding a dog chain and telling the other man to “come at him.” Apparently, the two men were fighting over a dog blanket.
*An unresponsive and highly intoxicated man was reported falling into ditches in the 3000 block of Merlin Road. Christopher C. Vanderploeg, 35, was taken to the sobering center in Grants Pass.
A man called 911 stating “If no one shows up to get me, I will start fuing sht up!” He said he was heading to Albertson’s, and demanded to talk to “Pittman.” His mother called saying that he was banging on her door, yelling for her to call the cops and have them arrest him, and would not leave. His mother gave police permission to enter her backyard to arrest her son, Joshua DeLaCruz, 24, on a parole violation detainer.
Sept. 28
*The owner of a pregnant Husky was cited after the dog bit someone on SW J Street. She stated that she was going to raise her fence with bamboo.
*Four dogs were off their property in the 5600 block of New Hope Road. Daniel B. Walker, 45, was cited for having nuisance dogs.
*Three dogs were off-leash on SE M St., and one scratched a city worker. “Tootsie”, her three furry friends and humans were all living in a car. They were all licensed to be emotional support and/or service dogs. Current licensing information was provided to the owner. It was real dog day afternoon.
*Antonio Sandoval, 46, was cited for driving while suspended in the 2200 block of Pleasant Valley Road.
Sept, 29
*In a mysterious location on the south side, an unnamed driver was going 81 MPH in a 55 zone, and also had a Glock in the vehicle.
*A man refused to give his last name to officers on SW G St, but was cited with driving while suspended and being uninsured. How they figured out his last name…magic!
