Dear Editor,
The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) has endorsed Donald Trump, who has been convicted 34 times in a court of law, for president. If someone with such a criminal record can receive support from law enforcement for the highest office, why should the average citizen bother following the law?
Why adhere to speed limits? Why pay taxes? Why not cheat whenever possible? When a person with this many convictions is still backed by the police, it implies that the rules don’t apply equally to everyone and undermines the principle that all should be held accountable under the law.
Respectfully,
Kevin Day
