Aug. 15
*William Fleming, 52, was arrested behind the bank in Cave Junction on charges stemming from a felony warrant and a probation violation pertaining to “weapons.” A taser was aimed at the subject, but not deployed. There was a “breathing issue” with Fleming, though I would imagine a taser pointed at you might take your breath away, too!
*Identified only as “Fabienek”, this guy went to the landfill in Kerby and stole recycled metal, then sold it to a guy in O’Brien for $30. Fabienek also cut and damaged a lock. The estimated damages were $30. If my math is correct, that’s not worth getting arrested on charges of theft, criminal mischief, and trespassing.
*Somebody crashed a dirt bike in a “closed area.” They were uninjured, but cited by the sheriff.
Aug. 16
*Animal complaints were made in the 19000 block of Redwood Hwy. and the 2100 block of Fish Hatchery Rd. Dogs on the loose! They are grounded for being K9 nuisances.
Aug. 17
*Gregory Carlisle, 40, got into a fender bender on NW Scenic Dr. and got his car towed after getting charged with a dui and reckless driving.
*Teddy the dog, got loose on Lower River Rd., and his human was issued a citation for “dog off property.”
*Daniel Cotter was going a bit too fast and got a speeding ticket on Helms Road.
*Two people were given a federal citation for camping on BLM land. Andrea Hanson and Rachell Ryan were advised of the camp rules.
Aug. 18
*Steven Carrick was pulled over on Willliams Highway at Findley Road for having an unreadable license plate on his motorcycle. He was also cited for driving while suspended and failure to renew his tabs.
Aug. 19
*Justin Buchanon was arrested, his car was impounded, for driving while suspended after a couple of dui’s, switched plates, no insurance, driving while suspended, and a felon in possession of a live round in his center console. He asked if he could call his wife. No bail, on a failure to appear warrant.
Aug. 20
*The driver of a white Mustang was cited for having no operator’s permit and no insurance on Butcher Knife Creek Road.
*A temporary tag was seized from a speeder in a black Toyota after the driver was found to be driving while suspended on Kerby Mainline Road.
*Derrick L. Robinson-Corporan ,36, tried to outrun the cops on his Harley, but they caught up with him, and he was charged with felony eluding and reckless driving on Laurel Rd. and Redwood Highway.
Aug. 21
*A dog owner was advised to get their pooch fixed after they bit someone on Frontage Way.
*Edward J. Grubb, 52, was trespassed from I.V. Guns and Ammo after a debacle involving “someone trying to take him down at 100 mph” in the parking lot. The man was working on a marijuana grow with several thousand plants. He was warned for misuse of 911, would not answer any questions, and ultimately was arrested on a charge of failure to appear for a duii.
*A black pickup truck was “losing its load”, and Robert Eidy, 36, was cited for driving while suspended and warned for “sifting a load” with no insurance.
*Christopher Powers, 34, was arrested for identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and theft, location unknown. Put your wallet in your front pocket around this guy.
*A man known for being hostile to law enforcement was arrested in the 4600 block of Lakeshore Dr. Hector Enrique Guzman, 42, got popped with a duii.
Aug. 22
*Parker Beard, 25, was zooming around at 80 mph in a 55 zone on Merlin and Jaime Lane and got a ticket for speeding and no insurance.
*Gerald Yadon, 33, was trying to outdo the guy above, and got popped for going 86 in a 55-mph zone at Redwood Highway and Helms Rd.
*Medical transportation was required after “someone almost got hit by someone.” Subsequently, Christopher Cano, 31, was arrested for felony elude, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving…somewhere.
*A vehicle was impounded on Foothill Blvd. after the driver was caught going 71 in a 45, and their license was suspended.
*On Pinewood Way, Nikolas Stevens, 32, was arrested after his mother reported that he didn’t check in after being released from jail, was “unstable”, and would run away from the sheriff.
*A welfare check was made at a residence in the 700 block of Cedar Flat after an animal complaint. The six dogs and one horse appeared to be healthy and cared for.
*In the 5700 block of New Hope Rd, Elijah Long’s dog Kodak bit someone, and is now considered a public nuisance. I think my dogs are a private nuisance, but I won’t go into detail.
