Childcare providers needed in the Valley

The Illinois Valley, along with many other regions across Oregon, is considered a childcare desert. This means that fewer than 33% of children in our region have access to childcare due to lack of availability.
Childcare is needed in every community in Jackson and Josephine counties but is especially needed in more rural areas and we hope many community members from rural communities will reach out to learn more and see if starting a childcare business might be right for them.
If you want to learn how to start your own childcare business and would enjoy a career working with children and their families a new initiative is available.
Southern Oregon Early Learning Services Hub, along with several other partners, is hosting a series of information sessions to answer questions and provide support to individuals interested in starting a business.
The Hub will follow up with dates and times for session options. Your contact information will not be shared and information sessions are free to attend!
