Tales from the Rural Patrol kept the community informed and doled out public floggings via satire. Technology has changed the process. *Timothy Joe Cross was arrested at 6:26 p.m. near the 4000 block of Caves Hwy. Cross was detained at Josephine County Jail (JCJ) for a misdemeanor warrant from Crook County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) and driving while suspended (DWS).

Tuesday, Jan. 16

Wednesday, Jan. 17
*A thin fellow with a hatchet played Paul Bunyan and chopped trees near the 300 block of S. Junction Avenue Jubilee Park at 9:22 a.m. He was cited and released to appear at Josephine County Circuit Court (JCCC) on Feb. 8 for first-degree criminal mischief.

Thursday, Jan. 18

Friday, Jan. 19
*Logan Lee was cited for DWS-violation at 10:57 p.m. near E. Lister Street and S. Caves Avenue.
*The driver of a black Volkswagen with California plates was clocked at 100 mph in a 55-zone at 10:52 p.m. near Redwood Hwy. and Kerby Mainline. Jordon M. Inge was issued a citation for speeding.
