Shooting updates from JoCo Sheriff’s Office

During the month of October, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office responded to three different shooting incidents. One of those shootings resulted in the death of an adult male. Each incident has been referred to the District Attorney’s Office, therefore no further information is available from the sheriff’s office.
The following are brief descriptions of each shooting and their approximate location:
*Oct 21 in the Illinois Valley, an adult male was shot in the foot by a landowner after a report of a restraining order violation in progress. The suspect survived.
*Oct. 22 in the North Valley area, an adult male was shot in the neck by a homeowner who had just pulled into their driveway. The suspect attempted to enter the vehicle occupied by the homeowner and spouse. The suspect survived.
*Oct. 27 in the Illinois Valley, an adult male was shot and killed by a citizen during a reported trespass call on private property. The Oregon State Police is the lead agency in this case.
