Connie Blakely, age 83, of Cave Junction, died October 9, 2023 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. Arrangements with Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
Sage Meidinger O’Conner, age 73, former Cave Junction resident, died October 8, 2023 at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Arrangements with Illinois Valley Funeral Directors.
Sally Jo Lyons was born in 1958 in Long Beach, Calif. to Lewis and Bonnie Lyons. Sally enjoyed a carefree childhood there, she excelled in school and began her working career at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Long Beach. After moving to Cave Junction Sally worked for C&K Market (Shop Smart and Select) for many years, she then worked for Siskiyou Clinic retiring from the clinic in 2020.
Sally served on the board and was secretary of the Illinois Valley Safe House Alliance, she also volunteered at the Josephine County Substation in Cave Junction for many years.
Sally is survived by her brother Steve Lyons and sister-in-law Terri, sister Laurie Lyons along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the spring; the date, time and location will be announced.
