Grants Pass, OR — Conservative state representative Lily Morgan filed today for a third term to Oregon House District 3, which covers Grants Pass, Cave Junction and the rural communities of Kerby, Merlin, Murphy, O’Brien, Selma, Takilma, and Williams.
“Democrats in Salem are leading an assault on our fundamental rights. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness were continually attacked during the past two legislative sessions. I am committed to protecting the lives of the unborn, the right to bear arms, and the liberty and livelihoods of my constituents.”
Rep. Morgan is part of leadership in the House Republican Caucus serving as Whip and now Assistant Leader. “I am proud to be part of the House Republican leadership that broke the Democrat supermajority. This ensured no major tax increases passed this session and helped us protect the record-breaking $5.6 billion kicker windfall which will be returned to taxpayers next year. I wrote and passed legislation to crack down on illegal marijuana grows (HB 3000, 2021) and passed HB 2645 (2023) to get tough on the Fentanyl dealers that are poisoning our communities.”
Rep. Morgan highlighted her experience as a major benefit to Republican primary votes: “We can’t afford on the job training in the legislature. I’ve seen Democrats repeatedly attempt to deceive Oregonians. I think my experience helps flush these schemes out into the open so that we can work together to push back.”
Lily Morgan was first elected to the Oregon House in 2020 and was reelected in 2022. She previously served on the Grants Pass City Council and the Josephine County Commission. Oregon House District 3 includes Grants Pass, Cave Junction, and parts of rural Josephine County.
