Oregon Caves Road and Tour Closures.
Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserves will be closed Monday through Friday beginning September 11, 2023, through October 10, 2023. The park will be open on weekends. The road will be closed for badly needed repairs and paving. Cave tours will be closed Monday through Friday during this time. Weekends, Saturday and Sunday, cave tours will be offered.
Highway 46, also known as Caves Highway, will be closed on weekdays within the monument and preserve for badly needed milling and paving operations. The closure is for the safety of visitors, staff, and road workers while work is being completed on the narrow road to the park. The park and cave tours will only operate on Saturdays and Sundays during this time.
Cave tours will be offered 5-days per week, Thursday through Monday, beginning October 11th, 2023, through Sunday, November 5th. Thereafter, tours will be closed for the winter season.
Surface areas of the park will again be open 7-days per week, including trails and all surface areas, beginning October 11th.
2023 Cave Tour Schedule:
Through Sunday, September 10th, 7-days a week, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Closed Monday through Friday, September 11th through October 10th, open weekends.
October 11th through November 5th, open Thursday through Monday, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
