Her life in the Valley of Riches

This week’s edition may look a little different from years past right before an Illinois Valley High School Alumni weekend. I was told by IVHS Alumni and Friends Association President Donna Tellyer that there would not be a 2023 IVHS Alumni newsletter this year due to the high cost, therefore there will not be a copy of it in the newspaper. Being in the newspaper business, I can certainly understand the budgeting issues.
This year, IVHS classes are posting their parties on the Facebook page. Our buddy Chris Duncan Leppert would be sad, but it is a sign of the times.
Tellyer wrote, “We are in the process of reorganizing and it is taking more time than expected. There will be at least 4 classes having reunions: 1973, 1978, 2003 and 2008. There is an IVHS Alumni and Friends on Facebook that will have current news.”
So, I did poke around a little on Facebook for our readers. The website is https://www.facebook.com/IVHSAlumni/ and here are some tidbits you should be aware of:
