Spiral Living Center presents our Annual Seed Swap & Scion Exchange in collaboration with Agrarian Sharing Network! This FREE community event will be held outdoors under the Jubilee Park Pavilion on Saturday, March 11 from 12-4 p.m.. Agrarian Sharing Network (ASN) will be sharing a selection of scion cuttings, rootstock, and a grafting demo. We will be offering for free or by donation: seeds, planting guides, and organic plant starts. NEW 2023 Seed Planting Station with free soil and multi-pots donated by Wheels A’Turnin Garden Supply! **GIRLS ROCK! A fun filed day of events for girls ages 9-13, with a parent or another adult, participate in activities that foster communication and explore the fields of science, engineering, math, and technology. Workshops include a variety of choices that demonstrate how STEM is used in everyday life. The girls build, take apart, put together and test their handiwork while learning in a fun, non-judgmental setting. Workshops this year include Designing Your Dream Bedroom, Construct a Whitewater Raft, Computer Programming, Microbots, Scienceworks, Worms in Soil Science and Where do Pearls Come From. The event is free and includes a light breakfast and sack lunch. Sponsored by Zonta Club of Grants Pass, AAUW Grants Pass, and Soroptimist International of River Valley.

**Tuesday, March 14, Illinois Valley Amateur Radio Club (IVARC) will be having our monthly meeting @ 6pm at Wild River Pizza in CJ. Kelpie Wilson from Wilson Biochar Associates, will introduce biochar and discuss how & when to add it to your garden. As well as our meeting at Wild River Pizza every second Tuesday, every Monday at 7pm we have a weekly net check-in on IVARC’S GMRS repeater and Simplex FRS 3 and MURS 3. Two free local events on the weekend of April 1 and 2, 2023 will focus on Illinois Valley news and newspapers. It’s all about the news you can read, and hear in the Illinois Valley – why it’s important and who makes it happen.
Meet and greet the folks that manage the news in the Illinois Valley on Saturday April 1, 2023 from 2 pm. – 3 p.m. at the Illinois Valley Branch of Josephine Community Libraries. Dan Mancuso, editor and publisher of the Illinois Valley News, and Phillip Allison, Station Manager of KXCJ Community Radio will be on hand to talk about why news making and reporting keeps our community together. On Sunday, April 2, 2023, the Kerbyville Museum will host an open house from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. showcasing two historic newspaper presses. Author and raconteur Paul Fattig will serve as moderator for both events, which are free with refreshments.

**Adopt-A-Senior **Volunteers wanted to assist senior and disabled residents in their home with light duty activities and /or socialization and to drive residents to doctor or grocery store. ** HIV Alliance offers services in Cave Junction every Tuesday from noon – 3 p.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church (across from Shop Smart). Services include: Free and confidential HIV and Hep C testing. Needle Exchange and drop box (all syringes welcome), and overdose response and Naloxone training.
