Sunday, Jan.22
A green 1995 SR5 Toyota was stolen from the 100 block of S. Hussey Avenue at 11:45 a.m. The thief was followed to the 100 block of S. Boundary Avenue, where witnesses heard three gunshots and someone screaming ‘Shoot the #& in the head’.
*There was another report of unauthorized use of vehicle (UUV) with a Toyota pickup truck in the 23900 block of Redwood Hwy. at 4:53 p.m.
*At 5:24 p.m. two guys in a white pickup truck were loading items from a property that had been raided in the 6600 block of Rockydale Road.
*At 10 p.m. an emotionally disturbed person (EDP) believed that strangers with guns have barricaded her in her home in the 3100 block of Lakeshore Drive since mid-December.
Monday, Jan.23
*Homeless individuals were occupying rooms in the defunct Junction Inn (JI) in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 8:17 a.m. On Jan.22 one occupant wasn’t pleased with the amenities and stole two blankets from the Grocery Outlet in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy at 4 p.m. before heading back to JI.
*At 8:30 a.m. a rise-and-shiner scrounged two beers, a couple pastries, and a candy bar from the Grocery Outlet in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy.
*A woman was struck with a 2×4 at Madrone Motel at 4:13 p.m. Neighbors either refused to be involved or stated that ‘they fight all the time’.
*On Jan.20 at 7 p.m., a destructive fellow threw a gun and used a shovel to break windows in a white 2009 Hyundai in the 25100 block of Redwood Hwy.
*A pedestrian suffered bruises after she was struck by a blue car near Lister Street and Kerby Avenue at 5:36 p.m. Two elderly women in the vehicle said ‘Sorry’ and drove away.
*A resident in the 23700 block of Redwood Hwy. received a delivery notification at 11 a.m. on Jan.20, but there was no package. After three days of research, Amazon informed the customer to complete a police report.
Tuesday, Jan.24
*It was all about the loud bass near the 600 block of Glendon Road at 10:38 p.m. A frustrated neighbor begged Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) to ‘just make it stop’.
Wednesday, Jan.25
*A 2003 Dodge R25 pickup truck flew off the roadway, flipped and landed in a ditch near Redwood Hwy. and Glendon Road at 1:58 p.m. The driver was warned for distracted driving with a cell phone.
*A trailer stolen from Jacksonville was recovered from the 6800 block of West Side Road at 5:11 p.m.
Thursday, Jan.26
*A burned-out shell of a black 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was reported near the 500 block of W. River Street at 9:48 a.m.
*A man in the 300 block of Briar Lane was deceased at 12:23 p.m.
Friday, Jan.27
*The driver of a 1990s gold-colored 4Runner took out a flagpole at Oregon Caves National Monument at 9:57 a.m. A report was filed for criminal mischief and failure to leave name at scene of accident.
*Shawn Council Weaver had a felony warrant from JCSO for probation violation for assault. Weaver was arrested near Redwood Hwy. and Laurel Road at 2:18 p.m. and detained in Josephine County Jail (JCJ).
*A home in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Missing items include a safe, rocks, crystals, money, antiques, knives, swords, shotgun, pistol and a motorcycle.
*At 9:06 p.m. a gal claimed her former boyfriend deliberately struck her with his car and dragged her three feet in the 3xxxx block of Redwood Hwy. When she yelled that she needed medical assistance, he left after he threw food at her, called her names, and threatened to kill her or hire it out.
Saturday, Jan.28
*A resident in the 300 block of Lakeshore Drive stated that she received a phone call from Department of Social Security and provided all her information. She was advised to notify Department of Social Security and monitor her credit reports often.
*The bully returned and broke into a home in the 3xxxx block of Redwood Hwy. at 6:17 a.m. He threatened to burn her house, kill her dog, and have her buried if he goes to jail for striking her with his vehicle.
