**Sunday, Jan. 29: The Southern Oregon Guild invites you to join us in celebrating the opening of our winter Guild Member Art Exhibit, FULL CIRCLE, on Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2-4 p.m. at the Guild Gallery & Art Center. New Guild Members Brian Davis, Kiana Stiles, and more will be making short presentations about their artwork included in the show that is related to our theme! This event is FREE and open to the public! Live Jazz music from Terry D. Davis, Snacks, and Refreshments will be offered. The Guild Gallery & Art Center is located in the Kerby Belt Building at 24353 Redwood Highway Kerby, OR 97531 and is open Wednesdays-Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Full Circle will be on display from Jan. 29 – April 15, 2023.

Feb. 14
**Tuesday, February 14th, Illinois Valley Amateur Radio Club (IVARC) will be having our monthly meeting @ 6pm at Wild River Pizza in CJ. As well as our meeting at Wild River Pizza every second Tuesday, every Monday at 7pm we have a weekly net check-in on IVARC’S GMRS repeater and Simplex FRS 3 and MURS 3. New members are welcome and encouraged to contact us and attend our meetings. **GIRLS ROCK! A fun filed day of events for girls ages 9-13, with a parent or another adult, participate in activities that foster communication and explore the fields of science, engineering, math, and technology. Workshops include a variety of choices that demonstrate how STEM is used in everyday life. The girls build, take apart, put together and test their handiwork while learning in a fun, non-judgmental setting. Workshops this year include Designing Your Dream Bedroom, Construct a Whitewater Raft, Computer Programming, Microbots, Scienceworks, Worms in Soil Science and Where do Pearls Come From. The event is free and includes a light breakfast and sack lunch. Sponsored by Zonta Club of Grants Pass, AAUW Grants Pass, and Soroptimist International of River Valley.

**Food Pantry Tuesdays 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Cave Junction Adventist/Community Services Food Distribution, 265 S. Old Stage Rd. Volunteers are needed to help stock, date check, sort food, pack boxes and handout food boxes, etc. to volunteer please email cavejunctionacs@gmail.com.

**Drop-in Storytime at Josephine County Library in Cave Junction, 11 a.m. ​- 2 p.m., with stories read aloud by Deborah every half hour and a themed craft available all day. For families on a tight time schedule, craft kits are available to take home!
**Adopt-A-Senior **Volunteers wanted to assist senior and disabled residents in their home with light duty activities and /or socialization and to drive residents to doctor or grocery store. ** Volunteers needed! Compassionate Presence Project – Folks residing in Illinois Valley will have the opportunity to participate in a pilot project that offers support to older adults (60+) and adults with physical disabilities, living with life-limiting illness and who are experiencing loneliness and other emotional distress. This project will train community members as “companions,” providing respite and support. If successful, this will be replicated and offered for free throughout the state of Oregon. If you are interested in learning how to support your community at end-of-life and how to be a compassionate presence to others, please consider volunteering. The training will happen Feb 2. ** HIV Alliance offers services in Cave Junction every Tuesday from noon – 3 p.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church (across from Shop Smart). Services include: Free and confidential HIV and Hep C testing. Needle Exchange and drop box (all syringes welcome), and overdose response and Naloxone training.
