Obituaries

Catherine (Campbell, Cuddie) Pullen was born March 5,1945 in Portland, Ore. to Floyd Louis Campbell and Lois Gertrude (Tuttle) Campbell. She moved to Cave Junction in 1947. In 1955 she moved to Tillamook, Ore. for one year. She lived in Jefferson, Ore. from 1956-1959. She moved back to Cave Junction from 1959-1964. She graduated from Illinois Valley High School in 1963.
She moved to White City, Ore. in 1964-1968 where she married Norman Kelley Cuddie (1965) and had her first daughter Tawana Louise (Cuddie) Grabarz in 1967. She also became a stepmother to his two sons. As a family, they moved back to Cave Junction in 1968. She had her second daughter, Kelly Ann (Cuddie) Bethke in 1974.
She graduated from Southern Oregon State College in 1984 with a BS in Education. She worked as a Title One Teacher and Elementary Teacher at Evergreen Elementary School from 1985-2004. She was a substitute teacher from 2004 through Sep. of 2022. She married Perry Lee Pullen Jr (1990) and was blessed to be a stepmother to his children. In 2009, her daughter, Kelly married Steven Bethke and she was blessed with two grandsons. In Dec. 2021 she was blessed with a great-granddaughter.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved nature, reading, gardening, swimming, bike riding, playing games, arts and crafts, cooking and caring for others,
Cathy went to heaven Nov. 21, 2022. She loved her Heavenly Father, family, friends, and students. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband and her daughter Tawana Grabarz. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Bethke; her son-in-law, Steven Bethke; and her brother, Dale Campbell; as well as countless extended family, friends, and students who love and cherish her.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Dec. 3, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cave Junction.

Stanton Arnold, 91, of Cave Junction, died Nov. 15, 2022 at his home.
