Tuesday, July 26
*Incidents involving fencing material in the 5500 block of Rockydale Road resulted in the arrest of a man for restraining order violation (ROV) and third-degree criminal mischief at 1:31 p.m.
*A man, 65, was deceased at 9:35 p.m. in the 300 block of Fir Drive.

Wednesday, July 27
*On July 26 a gal in the 100 block of N. Junction Avenue was scammed by a flighty third-party company. Her bank account was charged $1,000 for two airplane tickets, but Delta informed her this was a bogus company and so were the tickets.

Sunday, July 24
*A gal in a green hoodie and gray and green hat was thwarted in her attempt to steal a bag of items from Ray’s Food Place in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road at 7:50 a.m.

Monday, July 25
*Social Security cards, birth certificates, and tax documents were missing from a lockbox in the 7100 block of Deer Creek Road at 5:45 p.m.
*There was a ruckus with guys fighting in the roadway near Rockydale Road and Redwood Hwy. at 6:38 p.m.
*Rachael Dawn Lawson was detained in Josephine County Jail (JCJ) following her arrest in the 24100 block of Redwood Hwy. at 9:02 p.m. Lawson had a felony warrant from Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) for failure to appear (FTA) for first-degree theft.

Thursday, July 28
*Security cameras alerted a business owner when an intruder broke into Illinois Valley Veterinary Service in the 100 block of Hogue Drive at 7:57 a.m. Sarah Jaentsch is in the doghouse on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree theft. Jaentsch was cited and released to appear in Josephine County Circuit Court (JCCC) Aug. 31.
*At 11:57 a.m. firefighters clearing land near National Forest (NF) Road 4803 found a red 2013 Ford Focus that had been reported stolen.
*A window was broken at Takilma Bible Church in the 10300 block of Takilma Road between July 26 at 10 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on July 28.
*In 2014 a 1986 Toyota was reported stolen to Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS). On July 28 at 4:52 p.m. the owner received a letter from Jerry’s Towing Service in the 29900 block of Redwood Hwy. claiming that they towed his vehicle on July 20, and it would be auctioned Aug. 8.
*Two employees were scuffling at 2:30 a.m. in the 500 block of W. Watkins Street.

Friday, July 29
*At 1:19 a.m. a gal in a burgundy PT Cruiser needed help getting from O’Brien to the 1700 block of Rockydale Road. The driver of a blue Ford F250 pickup truck tried to assist, but issues with the tow rope resulted in two blown tires and flying sparks (from her and the wheels).

Saturday, July 30
*Travis Rossiter was taken into custody in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. due to a warrant from JCSO for FTA for fourth-degree assault. Rossiter was released and cited to appear in JCCC Aug. 24.
*Closing time at a business in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. was a bit of a crisis at 1:56 a.m. when the manager and employee realized their keys did not work on any locks.
*Denesia Wempen was charged with second-degree trespass near Sucker Creek Bridge and Holland Loop at 4:05 p.m. Wempen was cited to appear at JCCC Sept. 1.
*Donald Doney was contacted in the 1000 block of Kerby Mainline at 9:51 p.m. due to a warrant from JCSO for probation violation for fleeing or attempting to elude police officer. Doney was released and cited to appear Sept. 1 at JCCC.
